While Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) research has made great strides in recent years, there remains much to be examined. Atlas Research is supporting the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) through an investigation and pilot study regarding meditation as a treatment modality for Veterans diagnosed with PTSD.
Atlas Research is supporting the MyVA Task Force in developing and implementing a standardized Performance Measurement structure to link the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA’s) strategic goals with its day-to-day operations. The team is developing a dashboard tool, defining the required governance approach and processes, and providing strategic and analytical support to advance the portfolio of transformational initiatives.
By providing technical assistance, technical writing, and expert facilitation support, Atlas Research is supporting a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) initiative to strengthen behavioral health care systems for service members, Veterans, and their families.
Challenge
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Business Process Integration (OBPI) supports VA’s Modernization and process improvement initiatives as the liaison to the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) and the Office of Information & Technology (OI&T). OBPI is helping to stabilize and streamline core processes, ensuring that VBA’s business and data systems are properly documented, integrated, and communicated to provide the highest-quality delivery of benefits and services to Servicemembers, Veterans, and their families.
Atlas Research supports the Advisory Committee who informs the screening process conducted for more than 97 percent of babies born in the United States each year.
Atlas Research supports the development of business plans and provides solutionsfor enhancing learning systems and associated technologies.
Atlas Research is supporting the District of Columbia’s No Wrong Door (NWD) System to help implement a coordinated, District-wide, NWD System that will support all DC residents in need of Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) and their families, regardless of where they enter the system.
To train rural health care providers regarding women’s health, the VA Capitol Health Care Network engaged Atlas Research to develop a mobile clinical training program that rotates to facilities throughout the Network’s region.
Atlas Research is supporting the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Program Executive Office (PEO) by providing a range of services to review and evaluate Assembled Chemical Weapons Alternatives (ACWA) health and safety documents to support the construction, systemization, operation, and closure of ACWA facilities as well as provide medical support to the chemical surety programs at selected storage installation medical facilities.
To address new standards in advancing effective patient- and family-centered care practices in hospitals, Atlas Research developed a Cultural Competence Grand Rounds Series for providers at the Washington, DC VA Medical Center (VAMC).
