WASHINGTON, DC – Titan Alpha, a joint venture between Atlas Research and Prometheus Federal Services (PFS), secured a task order to support the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Chief Strategy Office in evaluating the effectiveness of Veteran suicide prevention services.
With suicide rates in the United States reaching its highest levels since World War II and Veterans being disproportionally at risk, VA’s goal is to reduce Veteran suicide by 20 percent by 2025. Titan Alpha will support VA’s goal by conducting up to 10,000 surveys in select communities to enable VA to better understand their knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors relevant to suicide prevention in Veterans.
“Suicide prevention is a high priority for VA, Titan Alpha, and the nation,” said PFS President Greg Smallwood. “We’re honored to work with VA to bring new perspectives to suicide prevention through this contract.”
“The importance of VA’s cornerstone mission to reduce Veteran suicide can’t be understated,” said Atlas Research Senior Manager Reva Stidd. “Titan Alpha assembled a team with deep domain experience in behavioral health, program evaluation, and survey methodologies. Our approach is fueled by a sense of urgency knowing that lives are at stake, as well as the conviction that this data will lead to actions that save Veteran lives.”
This contract was awarded on the VHA Integrated Healthcare Transformation (IHT) contract, a 10-year, $1 billion vehicle awarded to PFS and Atlas Research.
