Atlas Research Co-Hosts Webinar Addressing the Challenges of Rural Caregiving

April 15, 2015

Atlas Research, in partnership with the Easter Seals Dixon Center, will present a webinar on the Challenges of Rural Caregiving on Thursday, April 30. The webinar will focus on the unique caregiving challenges faced by rural caregivers, including barriers due to limited proximity to health care facilities.

It will be led by Atlas Senior Vice President Hilda R. Heady, MSW, ACSW, a widely-respected expert and advocate for rural health, particularly for Veterans. Ms. Heady will be joined by Sylvia Montgomery of the USDA and Elizabeth Dole Fellow Jennifer Henkel, a rural caregiver from Utah.

More than five million Americans support current or former Service Members with a disabling injury or illness. In rural communities, caregivers face different challenges than their suburban or urban counterparts; medical facilities are highly dispersed which can make caregiving uniquely challenging.

Join us for this exclusive webinar where we offer a firsthand perspective and review available resources, both military-related and general.

This webinar is the latest in the Easter Seals Dixon Center Military Caregiver Webinar Series.

Register now to join the webinar on April 30th at 2 PM EST/ 1 PM CST.
